BIO – ESME GOLDBLATT

I was born and raised in Johannesburg but spent the most valuable years of my life in the very rural Eastern Cape Karoo. I have always written – poetry, plays, articles and so on but discovered the joy and revelation of writing memoir when I moved to Capetown five years ago. My stories were first about our group home in the Karoo for adults with intellectual disability but now they go where-ever my memories take me. I have become a Memoir Missionary and drive everyone crazy telling them to “please write your story!” Is a contributing author to the Life Righting Collective’s This is how it is anthology.
