BIO – EPIPHANIE MUKASANO

Epiphanie Mukasano was born in 1961 in Rwanda and raised there. There, she mainly worked as a secondary school teacher. She fled her home country in 1994, and has spent the last 19 years in Cape Town, with her husband and children. During this time, she has worked in a number of part-time jobs in schools and with NPOs. She is moved by human suffering, especially when inflicted by fellow humans. She writes poems, children’s and teenagers’ short stories. Some of her stories have been published on the FunDza site. Contributing author to the Life Righting Collective’s This is how it is anthology.
