BIO – BUSISIWE MAPHANGA

Busisiwe was born in 1993 and grew up in Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. She enjoys diving into a good mystery novel, YA and literature by African authors. She is a medical student at the University of Cape Town and is interested in Public Health and Health Promotion. She wants to foster a love of reading in more children, especially in rural areas, and would like to write a children’s book in the future. She believes that expressive writing can help reveal parts of our personalities that would otherwise remain hidden, and that it allows us see our lives from a better perspective, on paper.
