Toni Giselle Stuart is a Sacred Storykeeper of the Womb. She listens for the stories that heal our inherited and ancestral traumas, reclaim our ancestral wisdoms and gifts, so that we can remember who and what we truly are. Born and raised in Camissa, at the foot of Hoerikwaggo, she works as a writer and poet. Her work is guided and informed by this land where the Indian and Atlantic Ocean currents merge, and the mountain rises out of the sea. She is the founder of The Firefly Garden, where she teaches writing courses and workshops that help you reconnect with the power of your words through heart, body & land, so you can write the stories you were born to write.

within you, lives the person who holds the pen. your writer-self is the part of you, that you turn to each time you sit down to complete an essay or article, to read and do research. it is the person who weaves together the complex ideas you hold, and creates a pattern, a tapestry that a wider audience can receive and appreciate.
yet, how much time and attention do you give to your writer-self? what needs do they have? how do you nourish and nurture them, so that they are able to perform at their best? how do you care for them, and ensure they are healthy, so that the work you and they produce, is healthy?
over two evenings, I offer visualisations and creative writing exercises that support you to meet the writer in you. you will learn what moves and inspires them, what their needs are, and how to meet these needs. from this place of connection and intimacy, you will work with a piece of writing, a question, or research from your own work. in this way, establishing an intentional relationship and writing practice between you and your writer-self.
the intention is to lay the foundation for a writing practice that feeds you, and has the potential to nourish all the other aspects of your creative life.

Option 3 TBC
We’re experimenting with a sliding scale fee model, allowing for the Writer’s Way events to be offered at multiple price points based on your financial circumstances.
For it to work, we’re relying on principles of truthfulness and accountability.
Teachers deserve to be paid and course participants deserve to attend personal development courses which recognise the multiple reality of economic access and privilege that exist.
Fee option 1 is a reduced rate for those whose budget genuinely cannot accommodate option 2.
Fee option 2 represents the fair and true cost of the course.
Fee option 3 is for those who are able to pay for themselves and pay extra towards making it possible for another person to attend a LRC writing course at a nominal rate.
