Following the success of the online workshop earlier this year, this edition will have two sessions held live in the supportive surroundings of the Woman Zone Library Hub ( Saturday 8 October and Sunday 9 October from 9 am to 3pm) and the final session will be held over Zoom ( Monday 17 October – 6pm to 8pm on Zoom). This final follow up session is online for those who want to learn more editing skills and to possibly prepare a piece to share for disability month.
The workshop is designed for anyone with compromised abilities to learn a new skill, be creative, discover personal meaning, self-understanding and self-recovery by writing about life experiences.
It's also a chance to share with a broader writing community, to better understand, be understood – and above all, to have your voice heard.
The course is facilitated by Dawn Garisch and is free, but if you can pay, or would like to donate, the cost of R900 will enable someone else who can’t to benefit.
