BIO – JENNIFER WOODHULL

Jennifer Woodhull 150x150 1

Jennifer Woodhull was born 1950 in Johannesburg, South Africa

She grew up in Cape Town, where she published her first poem in the school newsletter at the age of 6. She has spent most of her adult years in Colorado, USA, where she became a professional writer, a teacher of Tibetan Buddhism, and a crash-and-burn serial lesbian monogamist. Jennifer is drawn to emotional courage, dark humour, and the fruitful chaos of in-between/don’t know spaces. All her writing energy is currently dedicated to a PhD dissertation on liminality and religious violence—though the odd poem does occasionally punch through. Jennifer is a contributing author to the Life Righting Collective’s This is how it is anthology.
